A busy week of photography coming up. Tonight I've got a shoot tonight for a friend who has built a pretty nice indoor climbing wall inside one of his rental house properties. It's built all the way to the roof line, has to be at least 14' of vertical to the highest point. It's complete anchors to practice clipping off and safety techniques. He's put a ton of time into it and I hope to get a good result for him.

Thinking 10-22mm ultra wide lens to open up the room as much as possible, my speedlite off camera on a pocket wizard, and a f16-f22 aperture to black out everything away from the climber - again to make the space look as large as possible.

Tomorrow I've got a family of four that I'm going to attempt to do a Christmas portrait for. I definitely will be doing some experimenting here, I assume it will be in front of a lit Christmas tree and I won't be happy if I can't strike a balance between well lit subjects and natural skin tones, as well as ambient lighting from behind the tree. Hopefully the kids will cooperate long enough for me to figure out the right settings to make it all happen.

Wish me luck!
